MEET JEN

Hi! I’m Jen, Founder of Fancy Monkey. And I’ve built my career (and a large part of my personality) around sweets.

I’ve spent more than 35 years deep in the dessert world: working as a professional pastry chef, creating recipes for natural food brands, and owning bakeries. If there’s a way to turn butter and sugar into something delicious, chances are I’ve done it.

I cofounded Lucky’s Bakehouse in Boulder, Colorado in 2011. What started as a little neighborhood bakery quickly became equal parts kitchen, community hub, and my home away from home.

Creating recipes has always been at the center of my world, which is probably why instant pudding bothered me for so long. For something so nostalgic and universally loved, every box on the shelf was filled with weird ingredients and tasted nothing like the homemade version we all grew up loving.

I kept thinking: somebody REALLY needs to fix this.

Eventually, I realized it might as well be me.
